Want free AFI Dallas tickets?

4

Attention film-loving cheapskates: today is your day. We Pegasus peeps have scored 60 AFI Dallas Film Festival vouchers, which you can use to see any of the festival's 192 films for free.

How can you get your hands on a pair?

  1. Go to the PegNews Movie page.
  2. Scroll down to the "In Theatres Now" box.
  3. Click a movie.
  4. And post a movie review in that page's comment box.

There is no specified length. We only ask that you make the reviews constructive and somewhat thoughtful. This means that posting something like "this movie rox my sox, LOOOLOL!" will not be accepted.

If you're not sure what you want to see, check here for AFI movie listings.

Disclaimer: Tickets will be given on a first come, first serve basis.

Hi, I'm a homeschooler and my ambition is to become a serious filmmaker. My family and I study films as works of art. My family (3) would like tickets so I can further my cultural education.

Thank you for this opportunity.

Um, guys, can we get clarification on one point?:

I presume that the vouchers can not be used for films that are already sold out?

Unless Chad says otherwise, let's assume that is so.

An interesting point, Boss.

Seems there's "SOLD OUT" and then there's "sold out, sort of." According to this attempt at clarification from Brent Herndon (volunteer coordinator for AFI Dallas), hope may very well spring eternal at these events, at least right up 'til screening time:

"The afidallas website will stay updated on what is sold out. It's kind of tricky though. Some of the sold out screenings you see online are in reality, 50-75% sold out, which means the tickets delegated to online buyers have all been bought. The rest of the tickets to these screenings can ... be bought in person at that venue prior to the screening (first come/first serve)..."

Is that the same Brent Herndon who briefly worked for Pegasus News?
