UPDATED: Local chef in motorcycle accident
Dotty Griffith reports that local chef François Fotre was in a motorcycle accident. He is currently at Parkland Hospital. Fotre had been consulting with the Catalina Room before the accident. Now it looks like his road to recovery will be a long one. Making matters worse, Fotre has no health insurance. However, the Texas Chefs Association is said to be planning a fundraiser to help him with medical costs.
UPDATED: Nancy Nichols posts details on the accident from the chef's wife, who shares that Fotre is still in surgical ICU, but in stable condition.
