According to The Mad Scientists' blog:
After nearly two years of keeping The Mad Scientists anchored to planet earth Christina Cooper leaves us in order to focus on her visual art. She will play her final show with us on Friday, April 20, 2007 at Secret Headquarters (210 E. Hickory St.) in Denton at 8pm. We hope that you will be able to be there and say good bye and rock out with us and The Violent Squids. It will be an excellent night.
While we are sad to see our friend and fellow sonic scientist leave, we wish her all the best in the exploration of her own creative endeavors. Meanwhile, we have begun auditioning for the newest Scientist, since Christina refused our proposal of an experimental cloning technique to be done in an undisclosed location. Interested drummers may contact us at TheMadScientists@mac.com. Or, to hear mp3s, visit the band's website (www.TheMadScientists.biz) or MySpace (www.myspace.com/TheMadScientists).
We have no plans of slowing down and will use this time to continuing writing for the follow-up album to Geoparasitism, on which Christina played drums (and you can hear parts of at www.cdbaby.com/madscientists); not to mention increased gigging and a complete multi-media stage show to be debuted after the newest Scientist is properly initiated.
We would appreciate it if you can pass the word on to any drummers who are looking for projects or other musicians who may know a drummer/percussionist.
