Chair-crazy Mesquite teacher to be on Oprah show today
Mesquite ISD
Photos of Mrs. Adeniyi upon discovering she'd be flown to Chicago to visit with her icon.
This afternoon at 4 p.m., Atrice Adeniyi, a geography teacher at Poteet High School in Mesquite, will be featured on the Oprah Winfrey Show.
The series of events which led up to this "dream of a lifetime" are lengthy and elaborate.
Just know that it's all traced back to the somewhat-freaky fact that, for six years, Adeniyi has set aside in her classroom a special yellow armchair saved especially for Oprah's rear.
Couch jumping is anticipated.
