Construction begins on I-30 HOV lane from Dallas to Ballpark Way
Construction will begin this week on I-30 in Dallas, on a 16.6-mile, $6.2-million project that will add HOV lanes to the center of I-30, from Ball Park Way to east of Sylvan Avenue.
The project will be built in two phases.
1. Two reversible managed/HOV lanes from east of Sylvan Avenue to the Tarrant County line.
2. Two concurrent managed/HOV lanes from Ball Park Way to the Dallas County line.
The first section of the project will be open in July 2007; the second section, by the end of this year. Look for temporary signage along I-30 during the interim opening of the lanes.

Common on! Y'all are supposed to be "super local" why can't you label neighborhoods correctly? This isn't SW Dallas, in fact, if you click the SW Dallas link you can't even see I-30. This could be west Dallas or maybe Oak Cliff, you could go with the general 'south Dallas' too.

Noleman, one thing we have learned is that no two people agree on what is "Southwest Dallas," or any specific neighborhood boundary for that matter.
There are entire companies devoted to this problem, and even they admit they have to use some fuzzy logic and overlap to get the job done:

I don't live in SW Dallas and I do get the stories closet to me-- thanks that's awesome. I realize that many areas overlap, hense my plethora of alternatives. But come on, it is not Southwest Dallas; nor is Shiloh Rd North Dallas. Just fix it!
