Pegasus News Election Survey: Ron Aljoe, candidate for Lewisville City Council
Here at Pegasus News, we sent a short questionnaire out to every candidate running for public office in the greater-DFW area.
Ron Aljoe, who is running for Lewisville City Council, recently sent back his answers to the questionnaire.
Pegasus: What is the one greatest thing that the Lewisville City Council has achieved in the past year?
Aljoe: Actually, I have listed two items that I think the Lewisville City Council achieved this past year that would be ranked high on my list of accomplishments:
A) The attraction and approval of the building of the Hilton Garden Inn and Convention Center that will economically benefit the city for years to come.
B) The hiring of a manager to staff the department of promoting the Lewisville Visitor and Convention Bureau.
Pegasus: What is the single biggest improvement that the Lewisville City Council needs?
Aljoe: Develop a vision of the City based on the preliminary plans to widen Interstate I-35 corridor and prepare to implement those steps.
Pegasus: What is the toughest problem that you have ever solved?
Aljoe: Being responsible for the management and labor agreements to prevent the company from encountering work stoppages and other problems associated with manufacturing.
Pegasus: If you are elected and can only achieve ONE quantifiable thing in your term, what would you want it to be?
Aljoe: Support and work towards a staging area for day laborers in the City of Lewisville. This is a problem that cannot continue and will be essential for the betterment of the entire City and all citizens.
