Southern Alliance 2 hits DFW this Thursday

I have to admit it, last year the Southern Alliance concert was held in Lewisville which kind of made me nervous. Okay, a little bit more than nervous and if you don't understand what I mean than maybe you are one of the reasons why I felt this way. Besides that it was held in an outdoor stadium and it rained that morning. The rain slowly stopped which was great but then the sun started beaming which was terrible with an event starting at 3 PM outdoors. As the day moved on (and the sun started setting) the crowd started to move in flocks of fives and I began to get comfortable in noid environment. To make long story short, it ended up being one of the better local concerts I have seen since I have been in DFW and the outdoor effects of being in a small stadium made it feel mainstream. I put my Urban South stamp on that one. "Urban South Certified".

This Thursday Poe Man Productions & Hood Dreams Entertainment will bring you another Southern Alliance series with some of the city's' elite and rising artists. This year the concert series has moved into the city of North Dallas and held indoors at Club Dreams on Greenville Avenue. Not 'Lower Greenville' ave. but down the street from Park Lane. Matter of fact, be on the lookout for signage if you having trouble finding it. Support your city!
