United Way of Tarrant County raises nearly $24 million over past year
Largely due to the increased donations by many of the companies that give every year, the United Way of Tarrant County was only $0.2 million off its fundraising goal of $24 million for the year. Among the companies that donated the most are Alcon at $2.5 million and Lockheed Martin and BNSF Railway at $2 million each.
The United Way of Tarrant County provides money to organizations that focus on dealing with early learning and development, child abuse and neglect, senior isolation, adult literacy, childhood obesity.
