Iconoclast calls it quits

0

The members of Iconoclast, a well known band in the Christian alternative (pop) circles, have announced that they will no longer create heavenly music together. The news may come as a bit of a shock to fans since the band had just headed back to the studio to create and record their second album. According to a blog post from the band:

After beginning work on our sophomore album, Iconoclast has found that we're all kind of moving in different directions. This has really come to a [head] in the past month or two and has culminated in Iconoclast deciding that it would not be best for us to continue in this manner.

Iconoclast, though young, has played some pretty big events. After winning the KLTY Rising Star Contest, they played many shows, going so far as to play in front of 200,000 people at Celebrate Freedom, the largest outdoor Christian concert in the world. But their success does not appear to have been enough to keep the band going.

All in all we can rest assured that this was meant to be. After all, if God didn't want bands to break up he would never have coined the term, "creative differences."
