Nine Allen High School art students recognized as top in state
ALLEN, Texas ─ Nine Allen High School students won state awards in the Texas Visual Arts Scholastic Event (VASE) at the University of Houston-Clear Lake on April 14.
Andrew Hefter and Casey Chatham received All-State Awards for photography. Other students winning state medals at the competition included: Trevor Ede, Nayna Ahmed, Christina Becerra, Bethany Carson, Jacob Cross, Molly Hall and Nathan Rusterholtz.
The All-State Awards represent 130 pieces of 16,000 pieces in the competition.
