Volunteers to build new playground at Worth Heights Elementary school
Volunteers from the Worth Heights community will gather for a "Community Build Day" on Saturday, May 19, to build a new playground at Worth Heights Elementary School.
Participants will meet at the school, located at 519 East Butler Street in Fort Worth, at 8:00 a.m. to begin work. Members of the community are encouraged to attend and assist in the construction.
The Worth Heights PTA has spent five years raising funds for the playground, and volunteers will do 100% of the assembly.
"The students are so excited that their long-awaited and well-deserved playground is almost here," says Assistant Principal Xavier Sanchez. "We are grateful to the Worth Heights community for their dedication to the project."
