Chevelle gets robbed in Dallas
According to Chevelle (which we discovered on FrontBurner), their trailer was stolen this morning from the Clarion Dallas Park Central Hotel. All their music equipment and merch was in the trailer, so they will have to momentarily postpone or cancel the remainder of their tour.

Tracy Yost, says:
This seems to be a dangerous town for bands with equipment trailers......

While this sucks, it's really only fair.
Chevelle's been ripping off Tool for years, now.

Rick Yost, says:
That is a real drag. I hate to hear of someone getting ripped off in my home town.
However, before we start treating this band like Paris Hilton, we (and they) should keep something in mind: "If the music business (or life in general) was easy, everybody'd do it!" Time to go shoppin' for more equipment and a new trailer guys. Welcome to Dallas.

Mike Orren, says:
According to Unfair Park, Chevelle has lost gigs because of this and the word on the band circuit is that 10 bands have been robbed here in six months:

Dunno if the stat is correct, but it is certainly believable.

The unfair park link seems to have a lot of people blaming the band(s). But I gotta wonder if this sort of thing happens so frequently in other towns. I sort of doubt it. I think it says something bad about Dallas.
