Dallas mayoral candidates prove they know nothing about capital efficiency
DALLAS We may have to wait until June to know who will be Dallas's next mayor. But we know already that this group of eleven candidates is lousy at inspiring the citizens of Dallas to take an action as simple as voting.
71,421 voted in yesterday's mayoral election. According to our campaign contributions database, which is updated through April, and therefore does not yet account for the final May 4 financial reporting deadline, $3,329,955 was raised for this election.
That means more than $46 was raised for every vote cast.
With that sort of capital efficiency, one has to wonder what the eventual winner will be able to achieve with city funds and a contentious council.
