Cooking class at Aurora on May 19 will be alllll about asparagus
DALLAS Once a month, top-ranked Aurora offers one of the best restaurant experiences around with its Saturday-morning cooking class. Held in Aurora's laboratory-like kitchen, it gives diners a chance to rub elbows with chef Avner Samuels, and they keep the class size small to guarantee access to techniques and recipes.
The class is $95, and it includes a 3-course lunch with wine pairings. Every month, there's a different theme. In March, it was "spring produce," while April's theme was "Paris, France."
For May, it's all about the asparagus. There'll be four dishes, and it won't just be regular-old asparagus. There'll be wild asparagus, purple asparagus, white, and green asparagus in both jumbo and "pencil" size. The class runs from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. For reservations, call 214-528-9400 or email auroradallas@sbcglobal.net
