Berkner junior named Gatorade National Girls Soccer Player of the Year
Melissa Henderson, a junior at LV Berkner, was named the Gatorade Soccer Play of the Year.
Henderson plays forward and part-time defender for the Rams. This season, she scored 24 goals and finished with 12 assists. Her production was down slightly this season, after a 38 goal and 18 assists sophomore campaign, but missing six games was the major factors with her production.
Winning this award makes Henderson a finalist for the Gatorade Female High School Athlete of the Year.
