Irving’s Haley Elementary constructs cardboard boat, floats it down the “Lazy River”
On May 5 students at John Haley Elementary School participated in the 18th annual Cardboard Boat Regatta.
The boat was constructed almost entirely of cardboard and masking tape and floated on the “Lazy River” of Six Flags Hurricane Harbor.
Sponsoring teachers included Deborah Dupree, Sonya Bellomy, and Nancy Hutchinson.
