Charles, don't let them in! Don't let them in!
A group called the Texas Campaign for the Environment will begin their annual door-to-door campaign in Coppell beginning May 21.
The TCE is a non-profit environmental advocacy organization working locally and statewide on numerous public health and natural resource issues. TCE plans to conduct their door-to-door activities beginning May 21 between the hours of 4 p.m. and 30-minutes following sunset.
Because of their registration status as a 501 (c) (4) non-profit organization subject to financial disclosure as a political organization, their door-to-door activity does not require registration with the Police Department nor does it require any solicitation permits.
At this time, the organization has provided the Coppell Police Department with the names of the staff members who will be out in the neighborhoods The city would like to remind you that the organization is not affiliated with the City in any form or way.

HRU, says:
Are you intentionally casting aspersions on the reputation or message of an organization dedicated to protecting the environment we all depend on? Or are you unintentionally doing this, in the name of fun? It just seems odd to post an article, and subtitle it: "Charles, don't let them in! Don't let them in!" Furthermore, it's strange to use a photo of a burglar (http://media.pegasusnews.com/img/phot...) and the caption, "One way, or another, they're gonna educate you on environmental issues." Maybe it's just an odd sense of humor, but it seems political and short-sighted.
