Dwaine Caraway and Michael Davis score another victory against Dallas area “hot sheet” motel

1

Mad props to incoming City Councilman Dwaine Caraway and community advocate Michael Davis for their work in shutting down the Sunset Motel in East Oak Cliff. The Sunset is located next to the Dallas Urban League on Lancaster Road near the VA Hospital.

Mike has extensive coverage on his website Dallas Progress, which includes links to the Dallas Morning News article and You Tube clips of how local news reported the story.

This is not the first hot sheet motel these two men have shut down, and I don't suppose that it will be the last. If you want proof that one person can make a difference, look no farther than Michael Davis. Not that he did it all by himself, but there always has to be someone to help get the ball rolling.

As I've said since I have heard it spoken at the Covenant With Black America meeting: You are the leader that you've been looking for.
