Fraternal Order of Eagles pool open to public with new prices
Billy Ray Cyrus is an Eagle. Whether you are or not, you can dip your wings in their pool.
WHITE ROCK HILLS I never would have known about it had Eric Celeste not told me last summer-- There is a pool in our neighborhood that is open to the public all summer.
It's part of the Fraternal Order Of Eagles, which I'd also never heard of, despite its claimed august history:
"It was the EAGLES who started Mothers Day, who provided the impetus for Social Security, who ended job discrimination based on age."
They also run a nice swimming facility. It is open Tuesday - Sunday and admission is $5 ($3 for ages 6 and under) for non-members. It is located at 8500 Arturo Road, right off of Lakeland near Ferguson.

The official pool opening is this Memorial Day weekend. Our snack bar will be open and we'll be cooking some of the best burgers around.
