ARLINGTON — The NFL has announced that the 2011 SuperBowl will be played at the new Cowboys stadium in Arlington.
Jerry Jones thanked the mayors of Fort Worth and Arlington by name, but pointedly only mentioned "Dallas city government."
Of course, the finger now points squarely on all of us, as the Super Bowl requires 10,000 local volunteers and $20 million in private donations.
Won't you give now?
UPDATE1:
Apparently adding a bunch of suites for the NFL's use pushed the bid over the top.

This isn't really a win.
A few years ago, Boeing was deciding between here and Chicago for where they would like to home-base. They chose Chicago.
And now, when the NFL chooses which city it will trash with their annual party - they choose Dallas.
Yeah, some liquor stores and hotels will make out like bandits. But most business actually lose out.
It's like scheduling a riot.
