Woman sentenced to two years probation in Euless bowling alley murder

The woman was one of two who were involved in an argument/committed assault against the victim before she was shot and killed

Phiengchay "Christy" Souvanna, 21, pleaded guilty to assault in the murder of Vy "Julie" Nguyen outside the Euless AMC Showplace Lanes in 2005. Souvanna reportedly assaulted and pinned down Nguyen before Khampheth "Khampi" Bounkhoun, 21, ran up and shot her. In the end, Souvanna, who was originally charged with murder, received a sentence of two years probation with deferred adjudication. Bounkhoun was sentenced to life in prison earlier this year.

Two years probation for murder, eh? Looks like it's open-season on humans.

Comment/viewpoint/opinion/right/wrong? Who is to say? I did not attend the trial, so I have no testimony on which to base a conclusion. However, It seems to me there are very few people beaten, knifed or shot while attending church. There are reports from time to time of male church officials (referred to as pedophiles, not homosexuals) sexually molesting young boys. Again, not much testimony available; BUT, twould appear: ONE SHOULD ALWAYS BE VERY CAREFUL OF THE COMPANY ONE KEEPS. Swim with the goldfish, not the sharks, or just stay out of the water.

Read more carefully, Sanders. The trigger man got life. Not quite open season. The two year probabation was for the person who held her down so the shooter wouldn't miss. Hence the change to assault instead of murder charge.

TWO people killed this woman, not just one.

Even if she's not the one who pulled the trigger, she's still a murderer.

I did not attend the trial, so I will go with the jury. BUT,what was/were the issue/s (drugs/prostitution) that brought things to a death is the solution decision? I have not seen an in-depth, even-handed, well presented writing that examines this case. Perhaps we will see more print information.
