Ernst & Young moving HQ to Victory Park

— Accounting firm Ernst & Young LLP will move its headquarters into Victory Park, says the DMN. (Actually, the headline mistakenly calls them a law firm, but that'll probably change once someone notices the error.) They'll move into the One Victory Park building after it's built, in 2009. Already committed to move in are Haynes & Boone LLP (who actually are a law firm) and PlainsCapital Bank.

Hillwood is already considering building another office building next door.

Sanders Kaufman, says:

In the DMN's defense - most of the senior accounts are lawyers, and most of the assistance they give is in the form of legal advice.

In fact, when a company I worked for (as an accountant) hired them, I was aggravated to find that they were there to advise the owners, and not to provide any real accounting services.
