Alan Cohen, says:
After quickly listening to some of the cuts from Pestalance's album in the background, my thoughts are that the more laid back mixes seem to work best with the misspelled one's style. When the tempo was slower, he was actually able to flip the beat pretty effortlessly, which is a great natural skill to have. In my opinion, too many artists fall into the trap of trying to speed everything up, so I was happy that on first listen, Pestalance seemed to let the music dictate the tempo. I'd have to listen a few more times to have anything more substantive to say about the individual songs or the album.
If you can't get enough of Pestalance, he is also featured on Skin's show this week over at Quick
