TCU hosts summer classical piano fest
June 7 marks the start of the PianoTexas International Academy & Festival, kicking off three solid weeks of piano recitals and guest performances by some of the great musicians in the piano world.
There will be daily free recitals by non-professionals interspersed with ticketed performances by distinguished guest artists such as Philippe Bianconi, Paul Badura-Skoda, John Owings, Menahem Pressler and The Calder Quartet, Arie Vardi and John O'Conor.
Concerts and select competitions will be held at PepsiCo Recital Hall (located in the Walsh Center for the Performing Arts), with other events occurring in Ed Landreth Auditorium. For the complete lineup - and to purchase tickets ($10 - $20) in advance - have a look here.
