ANOTHER UPDATE: Samir is out! In the fifth round he misspelled "clevis."
UPDATE: Samir's in the semis.
The Associated Press is running a feature profile on 13 year-old Samir Patel from Colleyville. According to the feature, Samir is a strong favorite to win it all at this year's Scripps National Spelling Bee, which will be taking place live on national television later this week. Now Amy is out too. "Grognard" got her.
Amy and Samir shouldn't fret. They both should be first round draft choices in the Professional Spellers League.
