Bo Bice's acoustic concert at the House of Blues on June 9 has been canceled. All tickets can be refunded at the "point of purchase." For the official press excuse, err, release, please read below:
In order to make the now scheduled mid-September release date for his forthcoming CD, BO BICE will immediately return to the studio to complete recording. Produced by Frank Liddell and recorded in Nashville, this album will pay homage to his pivotal Southern rock roots. Unfortunately, these pressing deadlines have forced the cancellation of three shows on BO’s current acoustic tour (The Rialto in Tucson, AZ; Dos Amigos in Odessa, TX and the House of Blues in Dallas). “I think this CD will really showcase all I’ve wanted to with my music--it’s a chance for me to go out and rock in a way that I’m really comfortable with.”
Sounds stupid to me, but at least Bice's management used the show cancellation as a reason to promote his new CD. Smooth and not at all scummy.
To appease angry fans, please enjoy a picture of Bo Bice in his "I-dress-like-Jesus-and-love-it" phase.

i was looking forward to seeing bo at the crystal palace. the venue called and said bo was in the hospital and ill, now i see on your site, he's not. this type of thing seems to happen a lot , in the industry, no regard for ticket holders or the fans. i went anyway as i was told the house band was playing and i drove the hour to see them, i was not disappointed. steve davis and stampede are wonderful as well as his guitarist stan ellis. for anyone visiting buck owen's crystal palace, go see this band! as well as the buckaroos, with kim!

p.s. to my comment above, steve and his band, came in on not much notice , as the show for bo was to start on friday at 7:30 and i got my call around noon. so they really stepped in and did a fine job, but then again, they are professionals.
