DALLAS Are car dealerships the new foodie destinations? Last night, Classic BMW in Plano had foodie snacks at its grand opening, including chocolates by J Dorian; now a major food event, Taste of the Nation, will take place at a car dealership in Dallas.
Launched in 1988, Taste of the Nation is a nationwide culinary benefit that raises money to end childhood hunger in America. Every spring, more than 60 events take place throughout the U.S. and Canada, raising more than $70 million.
In Dallas, Taste of the Nation will be held on Sunday, June 3, from 6 to 10 p.m., at Park Place Motorcars Dallas on 6113 Lemmon Avenue. More than 50 restaurants will participate including Stephan Pyles Restaurant, The Mansion on Turtle Creek, Fuse, N9NE Steakhouse, Nove Italiano, Bice, Oceanaire Seafood Room, Trece, Sushi Samba Dallas, The Capital Grille, Grill on the Alley, Salum Restaurant, and Ferré Restaurante. Guests will be able to pair their favorite foods with fine wine from local distributors and enjoy offerings from Cru Wine Bar and Victory Tavern.
Tickets are $125 per person, for all you can eat and drink, and can be purchased by calling 1-877-26-TASTE or visiting the Web site.
Don't drop your beef skewer on the SL550!
