Ferguson Road Initiative seeks nominations for officers and directors

WHITE ROCK HILLS — The Ferguson Road Initiative Nominating Committee is now putting together a slate of nominees in preparation for the 2008 FRI Annual Election of Officers & Directors.

Names may be placed in nomination by any member of the FRI combined Weed & Seed Steering Committees, but such nominations must be received in writing by the Chairperson of the Nominating Committee at least ten calendar days (by 1.5.08) prior to the scheduled date of the FRI Annual Meeting.

Such nominations must include the signatures of the persons making the nomination(s) and seconding nomination(s), plus the written permission of the nominee(s). Nominations meeting these criteria will then be added to the ballot for voting at the FRI Annual Meeting.

Specifically, the FRI Board of Directors is looking for individuals who want to make a positive difference in this community. A FRI Board member should be able to attend the majority of meetings and annual workshops (generally the first Monday of every other month), be willing to help with fund development, chair or serve on a committee, and be able to work with others in serving our diverse community.
