Grill on the Alley at Galleria Dallas offering limited-edition dishes named after local bigwigs
DALLAS The Grill on the Alley will be adding menu items during November to highlight the 25th anniversary of Galleria Dallas. But these aren't any old menu items -- they're the favorite foods of influential leaders in Dallas.
North Texans were asked to submit nominations of individuals influencing and shaping the community; then members of the list, known as The Dallas 25, were asked to submit their favorite foods to be featured on The Grill's Prime Menu.
Items featured on The Grill on the Alley's Prime Menu from November 1 - 21 will be:
- Gloria Campos' Chocolate Toffee-Pecan Pie. Proceeds from enjoying this menu item provided by WFAA-TV Channel 8's News Anchor will benefit Wednesday's Child Benefit Corporation.
- Penne Pesto, from Dallas Mayor Tom Leppert. Mini Penne pasta with sautéed Gulf Shrimp tossed in fresh basil, garlic, extra virgin olive oil and pine nuts. Proceeds benefit West Dallas Community School.
- Chicken Pot Pie, a favorite of Roger Staubach. Fresh chicken, carrots, onions, peas, and mushrooms, topped with a flaky crust. Proceeds benefit Camp Summit.

Billusa99, says:
So, does Leppert actually make the pesto first, or does he simply toss all that stuff together and hope it turns into such?
And if he answers "no" then does it mean "yes?"
