Statement by Chairman Paul N. Wageman on the Trinity Parkway Referendum
DALLAS As the agency responsible for leading the Trinity Parkway environmental process, the North Texas Tollway Authority (NTTA) is pleased that the citizens of Dallas recognized the proposed alignment of the Trinity Parkway as a viable solution to relieving traffic in and around downtown Dallas. We will continue to work with our project partners including the city of Dallas, the Texas Department of Transportation, the North Texas Regional Transportation Council, the Federal Highway Administration, and the United States Army Corps of Engineers to deliver, to the region, this critical mobility project.
The NTTA will continue to advance the environmental process for the Trinity Parkway through the issuance of a Supplemental Draft Environmental Impact Statement (SDEIS) for review and comment in the first quarter of 2008. A public hearing will be held following the issuance of this report.
