Quick movie reminder: After Dark Horrorfest version 2007.0
... including a listing of North Texas theater venues.
Just a quick reminder that tomorrow kicks off the week-long indie horror B-movie extravaganza that is After Dark Horrorfest (part deaux).
North Texas theaters participating in the shivery screenings include the AMC Grand 24 (Dallas), Galaxy Drive-In (Ennis), Studio Movie Grill (Lewisville), AMC Mesquite (in - you guessed it - Mesquite) and Cinemark Legacy 24 (Plano). The individual theaters will have the latest information about showtimes and ticket availability, should you be interested in attending any or all of the films.
Movies in this year's lineup include The Deaths of Ian Stone (kind of a dark version of Ground Hog Day); Nightmare Man (which features an evil mask); Crazy Eights (with a cast including such babelicious babes as Dina Meyer, Gabrielle Anwar and - ahem - Traci Lords); Unearthed (which sounds pretty much like a first-person monster-shooter brought to technicolor life); Borderland ("which blends the raw fear of Texas Chainsaw Massacre with the stark reality of In Cold Blood" - so says the synopsis); Mulberry Street (not to be confused with Elm Street, site of numerous nightmares. This one sounds like a suburbanized version of 28 Weeks Later); Tooth and Nail (chronicling apocalypse survivors who take refuge in an abandoned hospital and fend off other survivors who happen NOT to be in the abandoned hospital); and Lake Dead (sporting a distinct Devil's Rejects aroma).
