University Park considering ban on driver’s using cell phones

This is what you shouldn't do in University Park.

This is what you shouldn't do in University Park.

University Park is following the lead of its neighbor Highland Park and considering a ban on the use of handheld cell phones in school zones, although Mayor Blackie Holmes (seriously, Blackie?) thinks the ban should be citywide.

So if you want to feel free to use your cell phone unfettered, just put 'em down for five minutes it takes to pass through those areas, 'kay?

Gotta love the Park Cities- I guess!

Although it sounds like a good idea, because some folks just can't seem to do more than one thing at a time, it's that same slippery slope that requires us all to wear a helmet while riding a bicycle.

Don't make all of us pay for the stupidity of a few. Stop being so eager to pass a law that takes a right away from everyone, because the actions of a few are troublesome.
Living with other humans is irritating- learn to deal with it before you rule it to specifically fit your life.

Not only could this spread to other cities, the effective area could be expanded as well. Think about it.
