Richardson ISD holds Invention Convention

The Richardson ISD recently held their 33rd annual Invention Convention and the winners had, shall we say, interesting names for their inventions (sadly, no pictures or descriptions of the inventions were available):

-- Instant Collar Walker from Riley Hague at the Math/Science/Technology Magnet School.

For what, shirt collars that need exercise?

-- The Cup Hugger from Sarah Paige Abel at Prairie Creek Elementary.

Sarah, all I got to say is that this better be more than a Starbucks sleeve or a beer koozie or you got some 'splainin' to do.

Apparently the Richardson ISD will accept anything as an invention.

--Flavor Lick by Emilee McAdams from Spring Creek Elementary.

What, this? 'Cause, you know, that's been around a while.

--iPills by Mimi Richards at Canyon Creek Elementary.

If this will fix any and all bugs in your iPhone, then I'll declare this the winner right here and now. Of course, if you do a Google search for iPills, this is the first thing that comes up. Gotta say, very progressive stuff going on over there at Canyon Creek Elementary.

And finally, no Invention Convention would be complete without a Sharks-Be-Gone, from Jonathan Chari at Apollo Junior High School. Apparently, this one has spread like wildfire, as they're already using it in Idaho:
