Awesome Dallas couple creates recycling business to pick up recyclables from apartment buildings

Like many cities, Dallas will only pick up recyclables from single residences, which is just stupid.

— Willie and Majaliwan Bass created Debass Recycling in order to fill a gap left by the city of Dallas: They pick up recyclables from small businesses, apartments, and condos. They can't be making much money from this but according to the NBC 5 story, they're newlyweds who are passionate about recycling. LOVE THEM.

Cool. I wonder how large of an area they serve.

And the pessimist in me, of course, wonders if all the good done for the environment is offset by them driving around all day picking up recyclables.

For the second time today, learn2read Pavel.

The cited article which apparently spawned this article tells you: At this time, Debass Recycling said it can serve only Dallas County because of its staff size.

Unfortunately, I'm such a [insert PC label for penny-pincher] that I dunno if $10 a month justifies one monthly pickup. However, this did make me realize I should start recycling. Found this list of drop-off sites in Dallas, but apparently Oak Cliff is the only one that has bins for plastic? Confirm/deny - anybody know if this is false?

I tried calling the "Recycle Line" on the FAQ page, but nobody picked up. =(
