DALLAS A Veterans Day observance attracted thousands to downtown Dallas on Saturday, including a parade and ceremonies at City Hall, with speeches by retired U.S. Air Force Col. George E. "Bud" Day; former Texas secretary of state Roger Williams; and Dallas Mayor Tom Leppert.
The parade included 150 units including military and veteran organizations, high school bands, ROTC groups, and Boy Scout troops; plus flyovers of various numbered plane thingamajiggies including F-18s and T-38s.
The tongue-clucking thing here is that nearly the entire downtown-visiting Pegasus News staff happened to coincidentally witness the parade yet no one thought to take a photo, I'm loathe to admit. Let this be a lesson. Parades are news.
