2007 Leon Rabin Award winners announced
The Dallas Theater League held the 2007 Leon Rabin Awards, November 12, at the Patty Granville Arts Center in Garland. Nominations were announced early October, and last night, they revealed what they thought was the best theater offered in the last year:
- Play: End Times, Kitchen Dog Theater
- Musical - Tied: Thoroughly Modern Millie, Garland Summer Musicals and Thrill Me, Uptown Players
- New play or musical: End Times by Allison Moore
- Actress in a play - Tied: Kristina Baker, Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf?, WaterTower Theatre; and Christina Vela, Fat Pig, Kitchen Dog Theater
- Actress in a musical: Stephanie Hall, The Pirates of Penzance, ICT Mainstage
- Actor in a play: James Crawford, Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf?, WaterTower Theatre
- Actor in a musical: Joshua Doss, Tick, Tick ... Boom!, Uptown Players
- Supporting actress in a play: Clara Peretz, End Times, Kitchen Dog Theater
- Supporting actress in a musical: Allison Rogers, Thoroughly Modern Millie, Garland Summer Musicals
- Supporting actor in a play: Bob Hess, Scapino, Second Thought Theatre
- Supporting actor in a musical: Cedric Neal, Tick, Tick ... Boom!, Uptown Players
- Director of a play: Tina Parker, End Times, Kitchen Dog Theater
- Director of a musical: Buff Shurr, Thoroughly Modern Millie, Garland Summer Musicals
