Chuck Norris to visit Lancaster ISD KICKSTART students
Men, hide your women, and women, hide your children: Chuck Norris is coming to town. Over 400 Lancaster Middle School students who participate in KICKSTART, an anti-drugs martial arts program started by Norris, will receive belts in a ceremony on Wednesday, Dec. 12. Norris will be in attendance as the Grand Master of the ceremony. The ceremony will take place from 7:00-9:00 p.m. at The Coliseum at Lancaster High School, 200 East Wintergreen Road in Lancaster.
Thank goodness they didn't wait to schedule this ceremony for April 1: Chuck Norris' calendar goes straight from March 31st to April 2nd; no one fools Chuck Norris. However, Norris will probably get nostalgic being at a high school, since once, on a high school math test, Chuck Norris put down "Violence" as every one of the answers. He got an A+ on the test because Chuck Norris solves all his problems with violence.

Wait a minute. I thought we didn't have enough money to fund Karate for sixth graders. Are sixth graders taking karate, after all? The Supt. said during budget sessions that the LISD, as a cost cutting measure would have to cut out karate for sixth graders.
Are we serious about academics or what?
