Coppell to host annual Christmas parade through town
Featuring Santa, yeah, but riding a friggin' fire truck.
4:00 p.m. on December 1st marks the start of the Coppell Holiday Parade.
From the intersection of Samuel & Parkway Boulevards, Mr. and Mrs. Claus (atop a fire truck, no less) will lead the way to the Town Center, where the traditional lighting ceremony will be held.
Hot pretzels will be served, and gaping maws will drop in the face of 40,000 LED lights.
For safety reasons, all intersections along the parade route will be temporarily closed as the parade passes through. Please observe all traffic signs and please keep your eyes open for children.

Now, don't make fun. These parades are one thing that makes me feel part of a small community. I think half the town is in it, and the other half watches. It's all very Mayberry.

Hate to break it to you but Coppell stopped being a "small town" in the late 80s. It's changed quite a bit since then, and not necessarily for the better...unless you count the city squandering it's citizens' revenue on BMW motorcycles for the police or perhaps LED-illuminated street signs. Won't you please run one of their many red-light cameras so they can spend more?

Yeah, you are right, but that's my point - it's one of the few things that make me feel that way. Don't burst my bubble. (covers eyes and puts fingers in ears)

There's a big event going on today nearby in the Downtown Carrollton Square as well. They have a snow machine and a slope built up on Main St.
I'm surprised they didn't list it on Pegasus.
