UPDATED: Periodic Table of Dallas to be unveiled

Mural by local artist Frank Campagna on side of The Door shows the various "elements" of Dallas.

Not that we're bragging or anything, but a mural masterminded by local artist Frank Campagna that shows a periodic table of important elements of Dallas was just unveiled on the side of The Door (formerly Gypsy Tea Room), and your favorite hyperlocal news website (okay, your only hyperlocal news website) is among those honored (see last column on right, second from top).

The Periodic Table of Dallas will be up for at least four weeks. If you want to know what each of the elements are abbreviations for, make sure to attend Art Conspiracy III on Sunday, December 9, where they'll have a legend explaining each and every one of them.

UPDATE: Many more pictures of the mural being created can be seen here and here.

I didn't mastermind a thing. This was all Art Con's doings. I just guided / oversaw the execution of their great concept into being.

The Door is an all ages club, There are two rooms there:

According to their site: "The Door in Dallas has moved to Main and Good Latimer into the former Gypsy Tea Room - ball room. We did not want to move but our former building was bulldozed to make way for condos. We are excited to have a new home to continue bringing you the best touring bands and provide a stage for new up and coming musical artists in an all ages format. THE DOOR will continue to be the same ALL AGES, NO ALCOHOL, NO SMOKING, SAFE ENVIRONMENT for young people. The Prophet Bar is back in Deep Ellum, in the old "Tea Room," offering eclectic musical acts and full service bar. (Food service coming soon. These are two different venues with separate entrances and staff. Most shows will be all ages, some will be 21 and up." So, there will be shiner to go with the music and art.
