UPDATED: Cycler attacked on Katy Trail in Uptown Dallas
A woman was riding her bike on the Katy Trail Tuesday when two men knocked her off her bike, beat and kicked her, and stole her ipod and cell phone. The woman's condition is currently unavailable.
UPDATE: Police have arrested two "men" in the case, a 17-year-old picked out of a police lineup, and a 15-year-old. Interestingly, they're both only being charged with robbery, even though in order to commit said robbery, they attacked her with enough force to break several bones. Sure sounds like assault to me, but hey, what do I know?

Rawlins Gilliland, says:
I am so sorry to read this and sincerely hope she's okay as well.
I must add, however, that this is merely the latest example of perception not being 'fact' regarding Dallas crime. People pay a fortune to live in 'good' areas of this city like 'Uptown' that have higher incidents of crimes against persons than many so-called 'marginal', 'lesser', 'unknown' or 'bad' neighborhoods. It's called marketing.
