Dallas Indie Experience caters to the “shop local” movement
All-too-rare holiday gift fare includes locally-designed, handmade, and fair trade wares
DALLAS Everyone knows that Dallasites love to shop. But unlike recalled kids' stuff made in China earlier this year, the Dallas Indie Experience offers the real deal. Catering to discriminating consumers with an increased interest in sustainable and locally produced goods, these three events offer fair trade imports as well as unique gifts from area artisans and craftspeople. A $9 ticket covers admission to three events.
Thursday's swanky Holiday Spree will include complimentary cocktails, beauty treatments, and giveaways at The Apartment by designer Todd Fiscus.
Saturday's Hipster Urban Street Bazaar will include craft classes in shrinky dink, knitting, stitching, and glass-fusing; wares from more than 50 local artists and designers; 2 DJs; femme bands; and cocktails.
Sunday's Deck the Halls at Sons of Hermann in Deep Ellum will include vintage and Texana items.

Paying for the privilege of shopping huh. Gives me a good idea: charging for "seat licenses" when selling cars.

Come by my booth and exclaim, "Tefi Loves Me!" to receive 10% off your total purchase. You'll have two chances to wow me; I'll be at the Urban Street Bazaar and Deck the Halls. Yeah! www.tefidesigns.com
