University of Dallas men’s basketball dominates Principia

Wednesday night’s affair between Dallas and Principia ended triumphantly for the University of Dallas men’s basketball team with a 81–57 victory. The Crusader offense was led by four double-digit scorers. Freshman forward Austin McAvoy (Selman Ctiy, TX/West Rusk H.S.) led the way in scoring with 19 points in as many minutes. He also added 4 rebounds. Freshman guard Michael Ricketts (Grand Prairie, TX/Bishop Dunne H.S.) added 12 points on 4-4 shooting from beyond the arc. Senior forward Nick Netsch (Flower Mound, TX/Marcus H.S.) had another great all around game. He had 11 points and led the team with 7 rebounds, while adding 3 steals and 3 assists. Sophomore guard Jeff Pritchard (Frisco, TX/Frisco H.S.) had 10 points, including 2 3-pointers and also chipped in 3 steals.

The team surged ahead to a 30 point lead in the first half with 58 points on 64% shooting from beyond the arc.

The team hosts Southwestern University at 5:00pm on Saturday, December 8th.
