The Dallas Architecture Forum continues with award-winning architect Nader Tehrani of Office da in Boston, will speak about his firm’s latest work on Wednesday, Oct. 10 at 7 p.m. at the Magnolia Theatre. Single tickets, available at the door only, are $15 for general admission, $10 for DMA members, and $5 for students with I.D. Dallas Architecture Forum members are admitted for free. The firm Office da, founded in 1991, expands the conventional scope of architectural practice to embrace a range from furniture to urban design. Nader Tehrani and his partner, Monica Ponce de Leon, find exemplary solutions within the site, the program, and especially in the materials and fitting together of projects. Recent work includes the Fleet Library at the Rhode Island School of Design. The recipients of many awards, the firm most recently won a coveted Cooper-Hewitt National Design Award in 2007.
The Dallas Architecture Forum’s Lecture home, the Horchow Auditorium of the DMA, will be closed most of our season for renovation. The Forum is pleased to announce that all lectures for our 2007-08 season will be held at The Magnolia Theatre, located in the West Village, 3699 McKinney Avenue, Ste 100, Dallas, 75204.
