Dallas County commissioners considering hiring a public relations consultant
Concerned about bad press they've received lately over the jail system and other missteps, Dallas County commissioners are considering hiring a PR expert. At the top of their list: former Channel 11 reporter Sarah Dodd, who volunteered her services a couple of weeks ago. They wrote her up a contract for $8,000 a month but haven't hired her yet. Despite initial reservations, most of the commissioners have come around to the idea, except for Kenneth Mayfield, who says it's a waste of taxpayers' money.
