Dallas Mayor Leppert joins select city council members for press conference
In a show of semi-solidarity following yesterday's (Oct. 1) federal corruption indictments handed out to former city council members and other Dallas ex-officials, Mayor Tom Leppert - joined by some (but not all) of the sitting Dallas city councilpersons - held a press conference to assure citizens that he and the council are working to improve things. Absent from the wound-patching session were council members Carolyn Davis, Angela Hunt, Linda Koop, Pauline Medrano and Steve Salazaar. Maybe they got stuck in traffic.
In any event, Mayor Leppert and the councilfolk in attendance expressed their sentiments that all is well and all will be well in the garden.
