UTA’s 2007 Bed Races to include attempt to break world record for largest pillow fight
ARLINGTON—The University of Texas at Arlington will once again attempt to break the record for the world’s largest pillow fight during the 27th annual Bed Races Thursday, Oct. 4.
Events get underway with the bed races at 8 p.m. at Maverick Stadium, 1307 W. Mitchell St. The bed races are UT Arlington’s oldest “running” tradition. A cookie-eating contest will follow at 9 p.m. Then at 10 p.m., participants will grab their pillows and try to fight their way into the record books! Other events include the 60-foot Obstacle Course and the Bungee Run. Money raised is going to the American Red Cross.
Prizes will be given for the top finishers in each division, and an award for the best dressed team. The races are sponsored by EXCEL Campus Activities.
