If you thought the Meyerson was only good for live musical performances, then you'll be stunned to learn that they sometimes screen movies there, too.
Take this Sunday (Oct. 7), for instance, when - at 11:30 a.m. - a little film called Beethoven's Hair will screen in Horchow Hall, located in the lower lobby.
It's an event tied into the forthcoming Beethoven Festival, and following the movie screening those with an appetite for light but civilized cuisine can adjourn to the Opus Restaurant (on site), where brunch will be served at 1 p.m.
The movie itself looks really weird (or at least its website does) - which means it might be something outside the ordinary, and in that sense worth taking in. (I mean, any story that features a kid cutting a lock of hair from Beethoven's cold, dead corpse has to have some interesting plot lines percolating within, right?) Plus, there's sure to be lots of crazy classic music incorporated.
Following the 80-minute film, a Q/A session will be moderated by the film's writer, Thomas Wallner.
I wonder what conditioner Ludwig van preferred?
