UNT was plenty green, but not quite mean Saturday in Lafayette

The University of North Texas could not even beat a previously-winless team Saturday night, losing 38-29 to 1-5 Louisiana Lafayette. UNT trailed for the entire game, although their vaunted passing attack did trade scores with LA Lafayette for most of the game.

UNT quarterback Giovanni Vizza played a decent game, going 35-for-57 for 383 yards, three touchdowns and three interceptions. The Mean Green actually tried running the ball in this game as well, nobly rushing 40 times for 144 yards in an unexpected display of a balanced attack.

Unfortunately for UNT, they could not stop LA Lafayette's rushing game, which gained 300 yards and scored three touchdowns.
