Texas-OU fans didn’t misbehave too badly
DALLAS This year's Texas-OU game was relatively incident-free, with Dallas police reporting a total of 54 arrests made on Friday night, 52 of which were for public intoxication. (The other two arrests were for warrants; police also issued one open-container citation and one traffic citation.)
The delicious revelation in this story is learning that Victory Park was DOA -- that the surge of people abandoning the West End for Victory Park predicted by the police (and feared by West End vendors) did not happen. Like everything else related to Victory Park, it appears to have been hype. The police said that people just stayed in the West End "and had a good time."
