Arlington ballet company plans move to new digs
Mission Metroplex purchased their old location and would like to move in at some point. (No hurry, though.)
The Metropolitan Classical Ballet of Arlington recently sold their headquarters property to Mission Metroplex, a non-profit purveyor of gospel goodness which owns and operates 30 other properties in that fair city. The Metropolitan's old digs (at 500 W. Abram) netted the troupe over a million bucks, but of course they are faced with relocation, as discussed in this Star-Telegram story.
Thanks to the Metropolitan's chief donor - the law firm of Hill Gilstrap - they need look no further than the property at 1200 W. Abram, which is owned by Hill Gilstrap Arts Building LLC (and on which property Hill Gilstrap will maintain a presence). A new building will soon be constructed for use by the ballet company.
The forthcoming tenants of the existing space are being more than accommodating: Mission Metroplex folks say that the Metropolitan crew can take their time about moving out. Mighty neighborly behavior, that.
